Welcome to my site where I record my reflections and published articles on assessment and medical education. I hold a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy; a MSc. in Paediatric Physiotherapy; a MSc. in Education, Psychology and Social Sciences, and a PhD in Medical Sciences (Clinical Decision Making). I am presently a Senior Lecturer in Medical Informatics and Medical Education at the National University of Galway, Ireland. My areas of interest are quality assurance, learning analytics, clinical skills training and assessment, and educational informatics. In 2008, I co-founded Qpercom, a spin-off company of the School of Medicine of NUIG, Ireland. Qpercom researches and develops advanced assessment solutions.

Declaration of Competing Interest: Dr Thomas Kropmans is CEO of Qpercom Ltd and receives a small monthly fee as a staff member.
